Set of 3 Unique White Cherry Trees - Prunus tomentosa 'White Ninja' - 9cm pot.

This set of 3 Prunus tomentosa ‘White Ninja’ consists of a special selection within the Nanking cherry. What distinguishes this variety is the creamy white fruit color – a rarity in the fruit assortment, where fruits are usually red. In addition to the special fruit, ‘White Ninja’ blooms in the spring with snow-white blossoms. This gives the shrub both ornamental value and an edible application. Planting multiple plants together results in better pollination and richer fruit set. Contents of this set: • 3 x Prunus tomentosa ‘White Ninja’ – white ornamental cherry • Total number of plants: 3 About Prunus tomentosa ‘White Ninja’ In spring, the pure white flowers appear along the branches. After flowering, relatively large, creamy white cherries develop. The taste is comparable to that of red-fruited varieties. Due to the light fruit color, the fruits are less readily recognized as ripe by birds, which in some situations can contribute to less feeding damage. The yield is generally slightly lower than with some other Nanking cherries, but the combination of white blossoms and light fruits makes this selection special. The shrub grows compactly and bushily and reaches a height of approximately 1.5 to 2 meters. It grows best in a sunny spot in well-draining soil and is very winter hardy.
