A faulty or non-functioning blower motor resistor will be with poor cooling or cabin heating. It can also cause the windscreen to defrost or defrost insufficiently, reducing the driver's visibility. During a faulty blower motor resistor, check the operation of other components of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, as they may cause the blower motor resistor to fail. The current draw blower motor should be checked to the manufacturer's specifications and the cabin air filter (if equipped) should be replaced.
