Description ELV is a mechanical failure that can occur in the steering column lock. This fault may happen independently and is not necessarily caused by any other vehicle issue. In case of malfunction, even if the vehicle key is functioning properly, the key will not start the vehicle because the ELV steering column lock fails to activate. In such cases, a new ELV steering column lock must be installed and programmed to the vehicle.
