PRODEFEN Plus is a food supplement that contains fructooligosaccharides (also known as prebiotics), vitamin D3 and 7 strains of microorganisms (probiotics) that naturally inhabit the digestive system. Staying alive, active, and administered in adequate amounts, probiotics provide beneficial effects to the person who ingests them. Vitamin D contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. The set of microorganisms that live in the intestine constitute the intestinal microflora (also called intestinal microbiota). The intestinal microbiota plays a very important role in the nutrition and metabolism of food. The intestinal microbiota is also part of the intestinal barrier that prevents the colonization or overgrowth of non-beneficial bacteria as well as the proper functioning of the immune system. Certain situations have their origin or can alter the balance of the intestinal microbiota, interfering with digestive well-being. Changes in intestinal balance caused by occasional diarrhea (caused by viruses or bacteria), taking antibiotics, stressful situations, and travel are some of the circumstances that can cause this imbalance. It is recommended to take 1 sachet a day during or after meals. Dissolve the contents of the sachet in water or other liquids such as juice or milk at room temperature.
